You can now register to audition for the 2025-2026 season. The deadline to apply is Monday, September 30, 2024. The first round of auditions takes place on October 21 and 22, the second round of auditions takes place on November 4.

The complete application dossier should consist of the following:

  • Application form including an audition program with motivation and biography.
  • One digital picture per musician/ensemble.
  • Letter of recommendation (signed) including an approval of the audition program.
  • Signed declaration form.

For whom?

Dutch Classical Talent is looking for the new generation of chamber music musicians who can present artistically attractive and interesting chamber music programs for a wide audience in the best possible way.

Age
The candidates must not be older than 28 years at the time of the auditions, with the exception of vocalists. For vocalists, the upper limit is set at 30 years. The average age of the members of ensembles may not exceed 28 years.

Compostion
You can register as a soloist or ensemble. A soloist is understood to mean: an instrumentalist who can perform an entire recital program without accompaniment. Vocalists can register as a soloist with an accompanist (accompanist’s age not higher than 40 years), provided that the singer clearly presents himself as a soloist in the program. A program with song repertoire falls under duo. Ensemble is understood to mean: an instrumentalist or vocalist with ‘accompaniment’ (duo) or a larger ensemble with a maximum of six members.

Education
Candidates must be in training at a conservatory in the second phase (Master) of music in a performing specialization/direction (or similar), or have already obtained their Master’s degree at a Dutch or foreign conservatory.

Nationality
Candidates with a foreign nationality must have studied for at least two years at a Dutch conservatory in a performing specialization or specialization or have already obtained their Master’s degree at a Dutch conservatory. For ensembles, at least half of the members of the ensemble must meet this condition.
